I'm looking for a weekday (evening) pitching clinic or private lessons for my two daughters. If anyone knows of a pitching coach doing a weekday clinic or giving private lessons please let me know. Thanks. Staci Speierman staci.speierman@gmail.com I'd guess it's the same guys that have been doing it for years !!!

I am sad to report that Tom Sims, coach of the Shamrocks 18 U team, passed away yesterday after a long illness. Tom took over the team after Tommy Orndorf left. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Sims family.

Any one going this weekend? I also recommend it highly. It is great that our local ASA organizers work to get such nationally renowned coaches/players to come and speak with our local coaches. And you can't beat the how intimate the talks are. You will be in a room of 30-50 to hear a speaker you will hear in Cherry Hill with 100s of your closest friends!

Campers out there. Here is an excellent way to spend $100 for three hours of group instruction at the College Park Campus, which is known for its national quality pitching over the last 6 years. You will learn things about pitching and how to get to the next level from the Terps themselves. www.terpssoftball.com/ Defender of the Screwball

Love the way MD, Georgetown, GW, and other local softball powerhouses can expect the locals to support them in their quest to raise money for their many out of state, non conference trips.
Oh I know perhaps they can spend some cash to get a GPS and find their way to Bachman and other close by facilities.

George, you have a great point. But look at the up side of this. You can be a freshman pitcher who pitches at a low high school level, go to Coach Watten's camp and get a verbal offer. As Don King points out, "Only in America". Defender of the Quick Verbal

Who are these Division-1 caliber players, playing in local "U-Trip" tournaments, that these coaches should be coming to see ...

I can think of a few players that could help these programs that have played at Bachman more than once. Coach ... please do me a favor and PM me (since there seems to be a "rule" against posting their names) some names. In fact ... let me know of any local H.S.player who played "The Bachman Circuit" the past 6/7 years who should have but didn't play at the Division-1 level because the D-1 coaches "bypass" the tournaments there. AGAIN ...

RT. IMO the issue with laying out names of players will lead to harsh critcism if folks have a different viewpoint of the players named. There are some players that have been named on the other board that I feel are not as good as some may believe. I know a lot of players read this board and don't want them to feel embarrassed.

Just my opinion! I don't think seeing something negative bothers many College age players, they are use to it by that point in their lives. I think that it usually either just rolls off or motivates them. I'm guessing that it probably bothers their parents and coaches (past and present) more than the players. Do you really think that "a lot of players read this board"?
