The Ghost Writer will ordain the Super Coach. Could we trust any one other than GW?

lmfao ... what a joke !!! Of course sbfan914 fully expects his superstar kid to be on this team. Then he can puff out his chest and walk around with his airhorn blowing off at all the games wherever he goes. The rest of the pathetic players and parents will suck it up because they know they don't belong on the team with her. All hail the great superteam !!! Oh Great, Wise, All Knowing One, I am comforted to know the dementia and senility hasn't limited your ability to know a joke when you read it. Can't get anything by you, Huh? Please enlighten me as to how you have the ability to know what others are thinking, how they conduct themselves and how they would react to opportunity if presented? Let me correct you on several of your assertions. 1) You have no idea what role if any I would expect for my daughter or if I would even suggest she try out for said "Super Team". 2)You have no idea how I conduct myself at any softball venue, sporting event or social gathering to offer an example of how I may behave if she were on said "Super Team". 3)I don't recall anyone stating that a player not selected for "Super Team" would be considered pathetic, except for you. Do you consider any player that doesn't play at the highest level to be pathetic? 4)You must have an incredible ability to see talent in an athlete to determine that she would even make a team without knowing them. You can also predict that she will be arrogant enough to consider other players beneath her because they didn't get selected for the "Super Team". Your post alone continues to perpetrate the very mentality I was making light of in jest. The "OLD GUARD" stands for no newcomers or change to the status quo. By the way, if you are out at any of the "Super Team" games stop by so I can refill my airhorn with some of your hot air. All hail the "Old Guard" and washed up wind bags.

The Ghost Writer will get behind the formation of a Super Team. Here are the top ten requirements for such a team: 1. A new organization will have to be started head quartered in Baltimore County at the Citgo Station. 2. The manager will have to be either from Krypton or be named PFI. 3. No parents can be involved whatsoever unless your daughter is great. 4. Players who have been on more than two teams in their career are ineligible. (Is there anyone left?) 5. No games can be played at Bachman or Randazzo nor have USSSA affiliation. 6. Pitchers will need a graduation certificate signed by a Relic Professor of Pitching. 7. Only real umpires will be assigned to their games. No cripples or bums that we currently see. 8. TRT will head up the Player Selection Committee. 9. Reading Message Boards is prohibited for all involved. 10 All players must Verbal with the University of Maryland. Defender of the Super Duper Team

It is very sad but alot of this stuff would be avoided if the parents would shut the hell up. Do not talk negative about other players to build your kid up. Focus on the positives and be objective, try to help lesser players not talk bad about them. The girls that are taught this at a young age have a longer and better softball experience.
Someone please keep a list of coaches at the USSSA Be The Best Showcase this weekend. We know all the big schools are in Atlanta and Chicago but who will show in Glen Burnie.

I guess the one lesson that many of the parents should learn is that, in the whole scheme of things, the period of time you get to actually sit back and watch your kid play is short. Sit back and enjoy it because even though they might be 12 now, the window closes fast. Sit back, have a Coke, and relax. Being part of some major drama each season actually lessens the experience for your kid, unless, it's all about you. Just sayin'.

When you are the end of your daughter's career, you will look back and say, "Why didn't I relax and enjoy this more instead of getting so upset about things that don't matter?"

That is great advice. I am currently sitting back and watching my DD play on the weekends and it is very rewarding. We work during the week on the individual skills that were not where she wanted them. I have learned to utlize softball to open doors and conversations that would have never been opened otherwise. No trophies this year but the relationship that has blossomed over the past three years of softball is irreplacable.
To all of the parents reporting drama and jumping from team to team....WAKE UP!!!!! It is passing right in front of you face and you are missing it.
