This is a chance for us to talk about Softball, the sport we love, with other fans. There are just a few rules.
1. We will not tolerate abusive posts that are directed toward players, parents, coaches or other members of the board. Inappropriate language and name calling will not be allowed.
2. Disagree if you want, but please keep it civilized.

It is a crime that the Sunpapers will charge for something that could generate funds from advertising. But let's not let their incompetency ruin it for us softball fans. Speaking of incompetency, DHF, what's happening down at Virginia this Fall? Keep the information coming up from the minor leagues. NewB, keep us posted on how Towson does. What happened last weekend? We need our bird dog scouts out there with fresh information coming in. TRT, get off of the couch and make some road trips. Gasoline prices have dropped a little bit so I think that you can afford it. Heavy, you don't need to pay for the Sunpapers subscription so you can keep downing those happy meals without interruption. Surfishin, do they even read the newspaper down in Catonsville? Let's not let these money grabbers take advantage of us. Softball chat should be free for all! Defender of Free Speech Everywhere

That's why I started this. The thought that we would have to pay for a message board is ridiculous.
Tell everyone to come on over! ;D

Thanks for the board, i was getting addicted to the Sun's message board and now I can continue my addiction. Just an observation, all the posts in the High school thread have nothing to do with HS. Maybe another Topic could be made...General.... or something similar.
Thanks again for the board.

Thank you TRT. I do concur with your assessment. In classical antiquity an Oracle was a person or agency considered to be a source of wise counsel. Well the GW is the Softball Oracle. Those of you with questions, observations, dilemmas, problems with your travel ball coaches, players who jump teams, college programs that are having difficulties, trouble with your pitcher's screwball, parents who try to run your team, other posters who are annoying, tournament directors who don't care, fields that aren't groomed properly, organizations that are run poorly, games scheduled across the bay bridge, umpires that know it at all, umpires that know nothing, coaches that yell too much, why certain teams are given preferential treatment, verbal commitments, and all other problems of the flesh, you can have the GW at your disposal. The GW can be the arbiter with the final say. The Dear Abby of Fastpitch Softball. A weekly, ask the GW would be a nice addition to this new board. It sounds too good to be true. I am not sure if the softball world is ready for this yet. I will monitor the postings going forward and determine if the masses can accept this. Defender of All Softball Message Boards
