I would say Col. Richardson in 1A; I agree with the rest.

Cannot believe there is not chatter about the Northern / River Hill game - RH gave Northern quite a challenge - Northern won 1-0 with a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 7th (bases loaded via 2 intentional walks after a lead-off double). Both teams were defensively fantastic; a GREAT game to watch!

Has anyone seen an Eastern Tech game this year? They had a great year and was wondering what kind of competition they faced and what to expect from them this weekend.

Was a very well played game. Northern had a runner at third in multiple innings but never got the big hit. The River Hill left fielder made a great play to save a run with a diving catch and a Northern runner on second. Some very good defensive plays by both teams. I was impressed with the River Hill pitcher. Not sure where she plays in the summer. RH gave Northern everything they could handle.

Eastern Tech will battle Northern for certain. Cargyle vs Cummings is a great match up between two D1 bound pitchers. Good luck to both teams.

Northern again had two players on the first team all met. They were more dominant than people realize. They outscored opponents 201-1. The one run they gave up was off two errors in the seventh innings of a game they won handily. Against the weak teams starters either sat the whole game or played one inning at the start and then were subbed out. Cummings was almost unhittable the entire season but Northern showed how good they were defensively in the title game with 3 or 4 highlight plays. Over the last four years Northern is 94-1 (including 3 wins over O'Connell).
