Liberty needs to schedule some games outside of Carroll County for their own good. Yeah but that goofball justabitoutside thinks they are world beaters as they thrash the seven little schools in Carroll County then play some special education teams in Frederick County to pad their stats and schedule. They would be .500 in Howard or Anne Arundel and that's with Mack pitching. Both of those conferences have some real hitters and 14K games are not the norm. They happen, but not every outing.

Liberty needs to schedule some games outside of Carroll County for their own good. Mr. S/F...I agree 100%. They need to face pitching from all over which will be a good barometer for them to see what they need to make it back to the finals. I'll stop short of saying they're gonna win it again, cause, 77Rambler might be listening. He really likes me!

Hey Rambler....there you are. I reall missed you so!! No, I don't think Liberty is a world beater, but, they are performing well in the county even if it is Carroll. As stated previously.....for years South Carroll, North Carroll and Westminster were the only schools that received media attention from the Times. Now that Liberty openned a can of Whoop-_ _ _ I'm simply enjoying it. They still need a lot of work to be the best and they better not look too far ahead. They need work in the following areas. Hitting ---be more selective, but, assertive when you swing Fielding --- move too the ball and get dirty when needed. Learn the cut-off spots and the value. Base running -- Anticipate and apply pressure. Pitching --- mix the pitches more and cover the ball. Mack your telegraphing. Catching --- Get the lead out and hustle! It doesn't cost anything to hustle. Coaches --- Get the lead out. Coach, teach and inspire! It doesn't cost anything to hustle. 77Rambler... is that objective? Don't go too far away.

77Rambler you write justabitoutside "Thrash" the other 7 little schools in CC, (I will assume you me "Trash") but yet you call Frederick Co. schools "Special Ed teams" WOW now that's not very adult like is it? What seems to be forgotten is these athletes and teams you speak about are not soliciting your comments or opinions. While justabitoutside started out as being complementary, you've allowed the ignorance of other posters to pull you from, what I will assume what was your original goal, to provide some positive attention to Liberty and its athletes. Its one thing to congratulate an athlete or team for doing well as I'm sure most athletes/teams would love to see their name being used in a positive comment or statement, but "Thrashing" another poster for doing that 77Rambler is simply disgusting. Not to mention you really should take the time to research prior to making comments to get your facts correct. Those teams that are "Thrash" talking and displaying unsportsman like conduct such us not going through the line at the end of the game and shaking hands with players or coaches or making rude comments to the press about another team, should be the ones receiving the "negative" publicity from members of this board, not those teams/athletes who are working hard to win regardless if it's in CC or AA or Howard Counties. With that said, Kudos to Liberty on their record this far. They have been at the receiving end not only from members of this board, but from other teams, coaches and parents, of unjust criticism because they are winning and winning big and doing so with class. School athletes have no control over their schedule Surfishin, or the teams they play, let's keep that in mind. They do the best they can with what they've got. After all they did win States last year playing the same kind of schedule. Secondly, I believe Liberty played two Howard County schools 77Rambler in preseason, (Yes I did some research prior to stating this to make sure my facts were correct) I read Glenelg and River Hill and beat both of them while batting all 14 players. Now you can say it was only preseason, but teams are playing to win regardless if it counts or not.
So let's have some respect for those athletes playing the game we all love. You can "Thrash" each other all you want, but let's leave the players out of it.

promotesoftball- did you take special ed? Thrash-to beat decisively or severely i.e. "thrashed the visiting team" that is straight from Webster's dictionary. I think I know how to write given my educational and professional background. You lost credibility from the beginning by not knowing the word, therefore I will spare you any further embarrassment by not delving deeper into your comments. Yes, I do mean "delve" not "dive!" Yes, the quotation mark belongs outside of the exclamation point. Please don't try to think or write for me as you appear totally incapable.

Perhaps 77rambler I was in special ed classes, so I didn't pick up on your meaning of Thrash vs. Trash. I guess that makes you much more credible then I. Again just another display of your ignorance...Just another sore loser... I'll be sure to tell Those Frederick County Schools you said Hi!

I forgive you. Just be careful who you challenge. I hope you learned something today. I'm ignorant? Now that's laughable coming from you.

I don't recall challenging anyone. You can make fun of the way I write or say things, it's Ok I can take it I'm an adult and I don't claim to be as "Educated" or have the "Professional" background that you obviously have . What I won't take is reading the comments about players or teams that have no way of defending against comments such as yours. To refer to another school or team or athlete or poster of this board as being "Special Ed" is not acceptable. It sounds to me perhaps you are a coach or parent of one of those teams Liberty beat...shame on you!! There is nothing I need to be forgiven for my friend, you on the other hand...well...

You are wrong again. Why don't you quit while you are behind? I have no dog in this fight, or in simpler terms that you can understand...I am not a parent or coach, nor do I live, work, or shop in Carroll County. You have some clear-cut issues as you seem to take everything literally. I promise to write and speak on a 6th grade level so you can understand everything in the future. By the way, that is not a put down aimed at you but rather the suggested way to write for the masses. Not that I expected you to know that!

Promotesoftball, Who the hell ever said anything about players controlling the schedule? Not I! That's the Head Coach and the AD, trust me. Read my posts, I "promoted" Liberty softball, just gave my opinion on what might help them repeat.

OK folks.....Guess I stirred up 77Rambler....he makes a couple comments and the gloves come off.
77Rambler did make a discriminatory comment regarding Frederick county which could of been stated differently, and, he would/should know, especially, if he has the educational credentials as stated. Don't think he/she ment to be disrespectful.
However; I hope everyone understands when I make comments its all in fun and I try to keep it positive.....and no it doesn't matter if you use spell check or what your educational background is.
This thread moved from the Sun Papers to the present location, because, of the overwhelming interest and love for the game.
As "promotesoftball" stated.....lets keep the comments in this thread positive and above all......ABOUT THE GIRLS.
After all.....It's not about us....we've had our 15 minutes of fame. Its about the girls and their opportnities!!!!!

Thank you justabitoutside, that's all I was trying to say with my original post. Surfishin I apologize if I upset you. I do enjoy reading your comments and posts as they are positive and provide good information on local kids and teams.
It appears Maryland has some good talent and it will be fun to follow to see how the local kids do. In addition to Liberty, I see Eastern Tech is doing well, as is Glenelg, and Northern among others. All seem to have young talent added to their rosters. Let's hope this is a good sign for Maryland softball.
